Equipped for Battle

This powerful message confronts us with a sobering reality: we are in a daily spiritual war, and our greatest enemy is not the people who frustrate us or the circumstances that challenge us, but Satan and his demonic forces. Drawing from Ephesians 6:10-20, we are reminded that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual powers of darkness. The armor of God is not optional equipment for occasional battles—it is essential gear for everyday survival. We learn that the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit are not our own achievements but gifts won through Christ's victory. The message challenges us to examine whether we are truly fighting this battle with God's strength or relying on our own inadequate resources. Most convicting is the question: are we desperate for Jesus, or are we merely seeking His hand for what He can give us rather than His face for who He is? The call is clear—we must devote ourselves to God's Word, to prayer, to sharing the gospel, and above all, to intimate communion with Jesus. Without this desperation for closeness with God, we invite the enemy into our lives by default. There is no neutral ground in this war.
