Tearing Down Idols and Following God Wholeheartedly
What are we really living for? That question cuts straight to the heart of this message, which challenges us to move beyond the surface of our daily lives and examine the deeper motivations driving our choices. Drawing on Proverbs 20:5, which describes the purposes of a person's heart as deep waters, we are invited to dive beneath the noise and busyness of everyday life to honestly ask: does the life we actually live match the life we say we are living? The central tension here is striking -- throughout history, Christians faced persecution, poverty, and loss to keep them from fully following God. Yet today, the number one obstacle we name is simply being too busy. That sobering reality forces us to confront whether our schedules and decisions reflect a life surrendered to God or a life quietly ruled by other priorities. This is not a message of condemnation but of invitation -- to go deeper, to be honest, and to discover that on the other side of that honesty is a God who loves us and has prepared something extraordinary for our lives.
